Frasier's Apartment Floorplan - V2 by nikneuk Frasier's Apartment Floorplan - V2 by nikneuk
The apartment of Dr. Frasier Crane from the show "FRASIER"

Some sets have changed throughout the different seasons and this floorplan is a mixture of various of them.

This is a hand drawed plan, in scale, coloured with colour pencils and with full details of furniture, fabric, timbers and complements...

The design is made according with the "real" apartment respecting the spaces, proportions, furniture and objets presents in the studio set.

Has anyone ever told you, that you're my hero?

Floorplans are one of my guilty pleasures, very nice work.

I always thought frasier and Martin shared a bathroom behind the fire place and that both the doors in their rooms were just closets.

Hello.
.
In a long running sitcom only the principal set (usually a living room with a kitchen and dinning zone) is permanent and the secondary sets (bedrooms, bathrooms, hallway, etc) are movable and they change according to the necessities of the writers.
And usually with a lot of mistakes, contradictions, etc...
.
There is not enough space behind the fireplice to place a common bathroom.
Frasier bathroom is very big and is clearly an ensuite bathrrom accessed from his bedroom.
www.youtube.com/watch?v=80sOwH…
Obviously there is nothing behind that door in his bedroom and this set was built in another soundstage.
In some episodes they buil a wall behind that door as in this episode:
www.youtube.com/watch?v=Qnjt6A…
In this clip the wall at the other side of the door was covered in marble, implying that this is a bathroom.
But in other episodes that wall is painted or fullfilled with shelves, as a walk-in-closet.
Don't try to find much logic...
.
I imagined that. at one point, He could have been a common bathroom behind the fireplace. (I marked a ? where one door was located.
But there is a powder room next to the entry door. Too many common bathrooms...
Also Daphne's has her own ensuite bathroom (her bedroom was formerly Frasier's studio).
This is totally illogical and incoherent to me.
I can't imagine a house in wich the therapeut has her own bathroom but in which the owner and his father share a bathroom outside their bedroom.
Do you find this logic ???
.
This was a high level apartment and Frasier had enough money to make makeovers to give an ensuite bathroom to his ill father.
BTW, do you remember any episode in where appears Martin's bathrrom ???
.
My idea with this project was to re-create the sets as real houses trying to fit all the elements shown in the show and fill the blank spaces.
Sometimes this works but sometimes (most) there are contradictions and doubts.
.
Regards.
Iñaki

I think the laundry becomes Frasier's hat room and therefore Daphne has to take the laundry downstairs

Am a fan of Frasier and am currently rewatching it all on Netflix (right after I watched every episode of Cheers too) and I got thinking about his apartment and googling it led me here. That's a great floorplan. I wish I had a place like his. I'm apartment-hunting at moment and none I find compares to even one room of Frasier's grand home. Love this drawing. Good work! =)

Sometimes I rewatched too some episodes and currently (when I make handmade drawings by order) I do the floorplan with corrections or additions.
The sets have changed from the first seasons to the last ones according to the necessities of the writers and probably you can find differences between the "static" floorplan and the "mutant" sets.

Ah yeah. I thought the show makers rearranged things now and then for purposes of a story. I've seen it occur in other shows too. Thanks for the link to the updated version. =)

Hello.
In the last monts I received an unusual amount of orders to make handmade drawings so I delayed the creation of new drawings until I finish all the purchased items.
But my next projets are:
In TV:
- The lofts from "Gossip Girl" (Surely the Humphrey's loft and the house of Chuck Bass)
- Hallywell Manor form "Charmed"
- The house of Laura Palmer from "Twin PEaks"
- The suburban houses from "Roseanne" and "Married with children"
- The bachelor pads of Don Drapper form "Mad Men" and Barney Stinson form "HIMYM"
- The house of Tony Soprano form "The Sopranos"
- The vintage house from "Bewitched"
- The house from "The nanny"
- The bar from "Cheers"
In Movies:
- The apartment of "The apartment" (Billy Wilder 1960)
- The house from "Psycho" (Alferd Hitchcock 1960)
- The house from "The party" (Blake Edwards 1968) One of my favourites !
- Both apartments from Down with love" (Peyton Reed 2003)
- The house from "Home alone" (Chirs Columbus 1990)

Hello.
.
Thank you very much for your comment.
Due the unusual amount of orders in my Etsy store (in where I sell hadmade oiginals) I have a lot of work and I stopped the making of new floorplans.
I want to finish all the orders or get some free time to make new ones.
And the list of future projects is veeeeery long...
But between that projets there is the Fisher house from "Sex Feet Under".
It was not a particularly beautiful house, original or spectacular.
And I don't remember if it appeared in its entirety to make a complete and detailed plan.
But "Six Feet Under" is in my top ten series along with "Twin Peaks" and "Northern Exposure".
I wanna make that floorplan, but I don't know when...
I only need time...
.
Kind regards.

The three story apartment at the "Montana" building was a wonderful apartment...
But only the living room (with the entry, dinning room, balcony and part of a halwayy), the kitchen and a library has appeared through the season...
The rest of the apartment would be an exercise of imagination...
Maybe for a future...
Thank you very much...

I guess there are many people around the world doing similar things.
I do not know if you are a fan of "Frasier" (and thus wanted to make this floorplan) or you like to make designs in general.
In any case do not lose the curiosity and your creative/artistic spirit.
Best regards...

There's at least one episode with Daphne doing laundry in the building's laundromat, though I expect Frasier would prefer a place with in-suite laundry.

This is explained in another episode by Frasier having converted the washer/drier space into an extra closet (or, as Daphne called it, "a hat museum"). Once Frasier didn't have to do his own laundry any more it probably mattered less to him ;)

I think Frasier's bathroom might be wrong. There was an episode where he confronts his school bully, who happens to be a plumber fixing his broken toilet. It clearly shows the toilet was at the right side of his bathtub.
Also, I think his closet is in the hallway leading to his bathroom. As shown in one episode where he was packing his clothes / getting dressed.
Nevertheless, this is awesome work!

Hello.
As I said in other post the secondary sets of the sitcoms (bedrooms, bathrooms, hallways, etc) are moveable sets.
An often these sets changes depending of the ideas of the screenwriters.
I know that episode about the broken toilet ([link]) and obviusly the toilet is placed in this set in that position to be in front of the audience.
But I based my drawing in this other bathroom:
[link]
Probabbly if I based my drawing in the episode of the toile somebody will be appear seeing that tha bathroom is wrong cause in one episode Frasier's takes a bath and is interrupted by her father etc...
And I know the other views of his bedroom in wich the door is open and aparently a closet is before the bathroom.
But in other episodes there is not a bathroom and we only see the beginning of a hallway.
Seeing this episode of the bathroom and the glass bricks I imaginaed that there is something more behind them.
So I try to fix everything in an only single floorplan trying to make something coherent and integrating the most logic elements of the different episodes.
An impossible mission...

Of course...
But with all the money that Dr. Frasier had I don't believe that he cared so much about the feng-shui...
